Our friends at the xda-developers have uploaded the images of the next generation touchwiz coming to the galaxy devices. It was informed that the android 6.0 code named marshmallow for the note 5 leaked early in form of memory system dump. This has enabled the developed community to run the touchwiz laden marshmallow on the note 5.
this version is clearly marked as the test ROM for the note 5 and the final version might incorporate several other changes when it launched. The most noticeable change appears to be the notification panel. As you can see in the image, the blue theme is replaced by a white background giving the note 5 much simpler look. The colour pallet of the entire user interface has now changed and will now be available in white similar to iOS devices.
The lock screen has also gone under the knife and the lock icon will now be replaced by the “swipe screen to unlock” indication. After viewing the entire changes, one tends to grasp the fact that Samsung is changing the entire touchwiz on its phone to make it cleaner and load much less number of bloatware and stock apps that are utterly useless to the end user. The entire user interface looks much cleaner with subtle icons and smooth animation. The stock apps have also been redesigned to suit the newer operating system better. One gets the feel of Google’s material design here and there.
Samsung has not only incorporate the cosmetic changes into the touchwiz, the android marshmallow also comes with better performance and efficiency. This is evident from the benchmarks tests. The note 5 with the newest touchwiz scores slightly better than the android lollipop powered note 5.
Samsung is incorporating all the security updates from google and with the new os, the phone feels more responsive accompanied by smooth performance. The multitasking window is more productive now with new animations and no noticeable lag while switching apps. The new update looks almost similar to the last one but all the goodies are hidden beneath. it simply works better than before.
Looks like Samsung is heading in the right way with the new updates.
