Samsung is definitely in that phase when they don’t want to repeat what happened with the Galaxy Note 7. The detailed investigation on the Note 7 showed up that it was batteries fault about the huge failure. That is mainly the reason why they are switching their battery supplier, and making a partnership with Sony this time. They surely now want to avoid any chance that might go wrong this time with the battery.
Recent report is also saying that Samsung inked a supply agreement with Japan’s Murata Manufarctoring. Sony now, becomes their third battery manufacturer for the Galaxy S8, as The Wall Street Journal says.
It is now said that the company is sourcing lithium-ion battery packs for the Galaxy S8. Their source is the battery unit of Japan’s Sony Corporation. But still, nothing is yet confirmed about their relationship.
We can be sure now, as Samsung say, that nothing similar will happen with the Galaxy S8, as with the Galaxy Note 7 happened. Such tragedy will not happen, as for the company is absolutely certain that they don’t want to deal anything like the Galaxy Note 7 recall ever happened.
