It is expected from Samsung Electronics by the end of this year to unveil their new Tizen operating system for the Internet of Things.
The first deployment of a Samsung operating system for mobile phones failed because of the domination of Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS. Now they have moved to the home appliances with Tizen. If completed and working as it should, it will find its way in all Samsung’s home appliances.
“Samsung is developing Tizen for Internet of Things — not for smartphones — with an aim of developing it by the end of this year or early next year,”
The tech giant is currently looking to expand Tizen into all of its home appliances and wearable devices. They announced that it would apply wireless internet into all of its products.
