Samsung is pushing Android Lollipop to many devices from the last couple of months. Now it is the time for Galaxy Note 3 to get the latest and greatest Android.

Previously this week T-Mobile support center said in a tweet that Galaxy Note 3 would get Android Lollipop update. But there was no specific date provided at that time. But today Samsung Galaxy Note 3 support page says that the update is ready to install. The OTA update will be available starting from today, March 4.

Apart from all new Android 5.0 Lollipop, this update will bring in Wi-Fi calling feature to Galaxy Note 3. Here is the complete change log:

  • OS upgrade to Android 5.0 (Lollipop)
  • Wi-Fi calling experience
  • Resolved Wi-Fi calling one way audio
  • Resolved IPv6 email setup

If you are on T-Mobile, you will get the new OTA firmware update notification sooner or later. If have not received the notification yet, you can check the software update status by going to Settings > General > About device > Software update.
