Samsung Tizen is relatively a new platform when compared to other mobile operating systems like Android and Apple. Samsung Z1 which was launched some 6 months back is the only Tizen powered smartphone from the Korean Company till now. We reported earlier that Samsung is already working on the successor of the Z1. The Samsung Z2 will bring in better hardware.
We will not not be surprised, if Samsung will release more than one Tizen powered smartphones in future. But for the time being, let’s discuss about Samsung Z1.
As Samsung Tizen is a new operating system and the Tizen Store is still light years behind the Android and Apple app stores, it is hard to find all essential applications for Samsung Z1. But that does not mean Tizen Store does not have any useful apps.
Developers have already ported popular applications like WhatsApp and MX Player onto Tizen Store. Samsung also made it clear that some of the Android Apps can be installed on Samsung Z1 using ACL (Application Compatibility Layer) for Tizen.
