As we reported earlier that Samsung has sold over 1 million units of the Tizen-powered smartphone – Samsung Z1. Now, Samsung is looking forward to release another Tizen-powered smartphone – Samsung Z3. However, according to our source, these devices are just the beginning of a new revolution.
According to our source, Samsung is looking forward to release numerous Tizen-powered smartphones by the end of this year. Samsung has planned to release the Tizen-powered smartphones in every price range. However, Samsung will not be releasing a high-end smartphone, powered by Tizen.
This is because there is a lot of competition in the high-end market, as it is ruled by the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, HTC One M9, LG G4, and Mototrola Nexus 6. Due to this reason, it is very unlikely for Samsung to move a Tizen-powered smartphone at a premium price tag.
Samsung has been offering great smartphones that are Android-powered, for a while now. Moreover, the grand success of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, has shown that Samsung will be releasing Android-powered smartphones in the premium price range. However, it seems like Samsung will be flooding the low-range market with Tizen-powered smartphones.
Additionally, Samsung might also dominate the mid-range market with some Tizen-powered smartphones. It appears that Samsung has planned to use the Tizen OS for its smartphones for the long-term. Considering the fact that the Tizen OS is in its early stages, currently, it is performing quite well in the market.
