Recently, the Galaxy J2 was confirmed when we spotted it on the Zauba Import/Export site, where we saw the SM-J200F being exported to India for testing purposes. Thus, it means that the Galaxy J2 will be released very soon over the upcoming weeks.

Recently, the Galaxy J2 has appeared on the Geekbench Benchmark database. Therefore, we have been able to take a look at the specifications of the Galaxy J2. According to the benchmark, the Galaxy J2 will be coming with Android 5.1.1, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, and a 4.7-inch Full HD display.

The Galaxy J2 will be released as another entry-level smartphone, similar to the Galaxy J1. The release of Android 5.1.1 on the Galaxy J2 will make it the latest device, as the 5.1.1 firmware has not been released for even the Galaxy S6. The Galaxy J2 will be featuring a UI similar to the Galaxy S6. Samsung might not be able to achieve it without cutting some corners, thus, the software might be slightly limited to suit the low-end hardware of the Galaxy J2.
