Samsung has embarked on another mission and it involves making it simpler to shop for apps, books and movies, in-app purchases on its smart TVs. Months after the company launched its mobile payment system, Samsung Pay, the company is now launching a new service called ‘Samsung Pay on TV’.
Users can now either set it up with a credit/debit card or with a PayPal account. Now once the users are done with setting up an account the TV will only ask them for a four digit PIN number every time they make a purchase.
Moreover the users of Samsung mobile devices can easily transfer their Samsung account information and registered payment methods to the Samsung Smart TV without any additional registration steps.
Samsung Smart TV users already have access to a number of exciting content. And they will soon be able to access additional premium content through in-app purchases within new and world-renowned games. The first set of game titles include:
Buddy & Me
Eternal Warrior 3
Frontline Commando: DDAY
Casino World Championship
Now the feature will only be available on select 2014 and 2015 Samsung smart TV models and only in 32 countries. The South Korean giant is trying to get the users started on buying stuff by providing additional premium content available as in-app purchases for a handful of games.
