The VP of Samsung Design America and head of Samsung Mobile UXCA, Dennis Miloseski recently posted a picture on Instagram of him wearing the upcoming and much hyped Samsung Gear S2 which will be showcased at the IFA 2015 next week. The Gear S2 is going to be a round smartwatch a trend that has been set by Motorola. Now apart from the Gear S2 being Samsung’s first smartwatch it has a rotating bezel which is the main feature catching the attention of people.
Moreover the Samsung Gear S2 will also come along with some interesting hardware as smartwatches are concerned. The Gear S2 will be the first wearable that will run on Samsung’s very own Exynos processor, a 1.2 GHz Samsung Exynos 3472. Apart from this the new wearable device will also feature the highest amount of RAM among its peers with 768 MB.
Now just like its predecessor the device will have its own 3G connection instead of relying on a companion device. However there is a small problem with this almost perfect smartwatch by Samsung. The problem is that the device runs on the Tizen platform rather than Android. This basically chains the Gear S2 to the South Korean’s mobile devices and it seems that this will limit the amount of really useful apps available for it.
