Finally the Galaxy Tab S2 models have received the Korean certification. These two models with the model numbers SM-T715 and SM-T815 have received certification from the Radio Research Agency which is basically the Korean agency that is affiliated with the Korean Communications Commission.
Now the Tab S2 which is bearing the model number SM-T715 refers to the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and the other model number refers to the Tab S2 9.7.
The Tab S model that had been released last year had an 8.4 inch and 10.5 inch displays but this time it will have models that are more compact-friendly.
Both these new Tab S models are said to be LTE versions of the tablet but neither of these models has an S/K/L variant letter to indicate carrier variants. This basically means that both these Tab S models will be sold to customers directly instead of through carriers.
With this certification in Korea it seems that Samsung is going to be launching these Galaxy Tab S2 devices sooner than we thought.
Customers can expect the Tab S2 models to feature Samsung’s very own 64-bit Exynos processor along with a 3GB of RAM. Apart from that the Tab S models will be equipped with a 2.1MP front camera and an 8MP back camera along with 32GB of internal storage that can obviously be expanded by using a microSD card.
Moreover both these tablets also feature the AMOLED display with a 2048 x 1536 screen resolution and an aspect ratio of 4:3. Up till now Samsung has provided no release date of these Tab S models but it seems it could be August because Samsung had released the Tab S last year in this month as well.
