New set of leaked images have been surfaced online, showing the design of the Galaxy Note 8. This time, the images show up a possibility that the device might feature augmented reality (AR) capabilities. The main camera setup is said to consist of 21-megapixel camera lenses with aperture of f/1.7 and a supplementary sensor. Unfortunately, there are no further information about the AR capabilities of the device provided by the source.

One thing is for sure, the Note 8 is indeed one of the most expected devices from Samsung, and during the past few weeks we had many leaks. None of these leaks didn’t even suggested that the device might be having AR capabilities, so this might turn out to be just a rumor. Also, maybe because we didn’t have any clear images where we could see detailed parts of the device, we didn’t have the chance to spot the AR system on the device.

On the images, we can see several characteristics of the Galaxy Note 8, which most of them have been already mentioned in rumors. The device will apparently feature an USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack. Alongside them, two stereo speakers placed one on the top side and one at the bottom edge of the case. The S-Pen slot’s location will be on the bottom right corner when you look the device from its front side. Also, the stylus itself is expected to have its own upgrade compared to the one that was shipped with the Galaxy Note 7.

Also, recent reports claim that the Note 8 will be powered by either Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835 SoC. The device will also feature 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is also expected to be an iris scanner and nearly bezel-less design of the Galaxy S8 lineup, with also including the 18.5:9 screen aspect ratio. The Note 8 is expected to be revealed in late August this year, and to have an official launch date several weeks later, probably in early September.
