Smart TVs are a relatively new thing in the electronics world. They were just introduced to us about half a decade ago. In this time, our world of Smart Electronics has come so far that 5 years ago, we might not have wondered it will develop at this pace.
Nowadays, most of the households are moving to Smart TVs, this transformation is going at an amazingly high pace. By now, millions of people already have a smart TV in their home. These TVs are really a great piece of technology to own and experience.
But at the same time, they have a dark side that came into light just recently. These facts were revealed by Samsung in a press release in which it notified its customers that their conversations in front of a Smart TV could be transmitted to someone who could misuse them. This was due to the Voice Recognition feature that was built into the TV’s. These TV’s send your voice over internet which is processed by massive servers so that it is translated it something that the TV understands.
To turn this voice recognition functions off, just go to the Settings and then select Smart Features. Then go down to the option of Voice Recognition; after that in the sub-menu, you just need to switch it off. This one change will completely turn off your Smart TVs voice recognition functionality. So “Hi, TV” command won’t work now.
