Samsung made the infamous decision to support third-party ad blocking plugin on their internet app a few months ago. This has earned the ire of google that mainly depends on advertising revenue but Samsung refused to back down and google had to make an exception for its largest Android OEM.
This browser was only available on the Galaxy handsets running Marshmallow. It was pretty much the S7 and S7 edge running the Marshmallow and this browser was supported on these handsets. But the newest 4.0 version had added compatibility for many legacy devices that have been long forgotten. Even devices that aren’t running Marshmallow will now have this ad blocking browser app.
The newest version keeps the ad blocking capabilities and adds a few like the built-in browser with private browsing, a picture-in-picture video player, fingerprint authentication, Gear VR support, Secret Mode (similar to incognito mode on chrome), Popup Video and much more.
