Samsung Wants to Partner with Microsoft for Hololens

Many of you would remember about the announcement that Microsoft had made in January this year about a new wearable gadget called HoloLens. Well for those who don’t, HoloLens is basically a holographic computer that’s built into a headset.

Now with the HoloLens the users can interact with holograms within an environment such as a room. In order to make this gadget Microsoft has used high-definition lenses and spatial sound technology while the headset has been built in such a way that it doesn’t need to be connected to a PC.

Well currently the gadget is just a prototype but Microsoft has confirmed that HoloLens will be released to the public around the same time the company releases Windows 10 for the consumers.

Now it seems that Microsoft is not the only company interested in such a gadget. According to a recent report the South Korean company Samsung wants to team up with Microsoft on HoloLens to explore the limitless possibilities that this technology could offer.

Samsung it seems is interested in this technology because the company sees it crucial for future healthcare and medical devices.

Moreover this partnership can be beneficial for both Samsung and Microsoft because the Korean company has more experience and expertise in processors and sensor chips. Now how far does this partnership go is still to be seen.
