Samsung today launched two new Smart TVs powered by Tizen OS in South Korea. Samsung previously announced that Tizen is designed not only for mobile phone but the operating system will power a range of electronics and home appliances including TVs, digital cameras, washing machines, refrigerators, etc.
The new range of Ultra-HD (4K) TVs will come in four different sizes, starting with 55 inch and going up to 80 inches. The smallest size Smart TV costs $5,000 (5.49 million won).
Samsung announced at this year’s CES that the company is completely focused on Tizen OS and it will launch Smart TVs powered by Tizen. The Tizen powered Smart Tvs will seamlessly communicate with Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
There are no words when these TVs will come to international market. So you might need to wait a bit till these TVs will come to a store near you.
