When Snapdragon introduced its latest 64-bit processor, the Snapdragon 810, it was expected that most of the flagship phones from Samsung, HTC, LG, and other companies will go for this processor. This processor had many bright aspects and was called by many the latest revolution in the world of smartphones because 64-bit processing was something new.
Earlier last year when Snapdragon put its new processor up for some thorough testing, it was noticed that it had some overheating problem. It was expected that the overheating problem will be resolved before the release of Samsung’s latest Galaxy S6 smartphone, but it didn’t go well and the problem persists.
Samsung has partnered with Snapdragon for a really long time and it’s the biggest user of Snapdragon processors. But this time, in case of the Galaxy S6, Samsung can’t take any chances.
To avoid any delays in the release of Galaxy S6, Samsung has planned to give the Galaxy S6 its own Exynos processor. It might seem that Exynos processors aren’t advanced as Snapdragon but actually, they are at the same pace that will power the Galaxy S6.
Nothing’s clear yet, so we will have to wait and see what Samsung packs in the Galaxy S6.
