If anyone of the Samsung S6 and S6 Edge users want to clean up their phones, they might consider rooting them. Rooting the phone means that you will get all of the administrative rights on that device.

Rooting the device is good and bad for your phone. Rooting can help you clean bloatware from your phone. Whereas companies are sometimes not willing to take back the device if you claim warranty on a rooted device.

Rooting the device will help you clear up some RAM and this will help you in getting a faster device. Users that didn’t receive OTA updates for their phones and want the latest OS on their phone, can also root their phones and get a custom ROM.

Users can remove TouchWiz from their phones to get a more natural android skin. You can install ROMS from CyanogenMod on your phone.

So there are endless possibilities with rooting your phone. You get a super user icon on your app drawer after you root your device.

So there will be some things that you will need to keep in mind once you decide to root your phone. This rooting method only works for T-Mobile and International versions of the phone.

You will need to be working on a Windows Computer. You will also need to make a backup before you can continue with this rooting method. So here are some of the steps you will need to do:

• You will need to download and install Samsung USB driver v1.5.49.0.exe on your Windows computer.

• After that you will need to go to your phone Settings and then to About Phone. There you will find the device model number. Write down the full device model number so that you do the rooting for your device.

• After that you will need to go to the Auto Root homepage. There you will need to find your model number and then click download.

• After you find your root package, you will download it on your computer.

• You will get a zip file. You will need to extract files from the Auto Root file. You can download WinRar to extract files from the Auto Root file.

• After files have been extracted, you will need to go in the folder. There you will find an Odin.exe file. Run this file with administrative rights. You will need to right click on the file and then click ‘Run as administrator’.

• Then go to your phone Settings and then to About Phone. Continuously tap on Build Number until it tells you are a developer.

• Now you will need to go to Settings and then Developer Options. There you will need to check ‘on’ USB Debugging.

• After that you can plug your phone in. This will install drivers on your phone and then you can unplug it again.

• Then you can turn off the phone and turn it back on holding down the power, volume down and home button at the same time. After some time you will get a blue screen.

• You will need to press the up volume key to continue.

• After continuing, you will need to plug in the phone using USB.

• Now go in Odin and click on AP and after that you will need to select .tar.md5 file from inside the extracted Auto Root folder.

• You will get an Odin interface. You will see three buttons which will say Start, Reset and Exit. You will need to click Start.

• This will cause your phone to reboot. After the phone has rebooted, you will see that there is a Super user icon on you app drawer. If everything worked just fine, then there will definitely be an icon.

• If you have the T-Mobile Galaxy S6 Edge and you end up with the Samsung logo, you can hold down volume down, power and home button. You will go back into Odin mode.

• You can go to the Auto Root website and you will need to download the G920T file. This file is for the regular Samsung Galaxy S6. You can extract it on your desktop.

• Now the same method is supposed to be followed. You will need to go into Odin and click on AP and select the .tar.md5 file from inside the extracted Auto Root folder.

• You will then click Start and your phone should properly reboot this time around.

• You will see that you get a Super user icon this time around.
