There were many people that started saying that the Samsung Galaxy S6 is a copy of the iPhone 6 but today we will tell you the real story that took place that led to the design of the Galaxy S6.

Samsung claim that they started at zero when they started the design for the Galaxy S6. They wanted to go back to some basics. Their prime focus was on the product’s fundamentals.

They claim that prototype of the Samsung Galaxy S6 took shape in the middle of heavy contemplation to preserve that essence.

They wanted the new design to be simple but at the same time innovative. Samsung believe that it is a very big challenge to make a cutting edge design when you already have the best design.

This is a very attractive challenge for designers because they love this part of their job. They wanted to introduce a concept of Beauty Meets Purpose. Samsung believe that their device delivers an elegant balance between innovative form and ergonomic function.

The first step they wanted to take was incorporating organic material to deliver authenticity. They took a lot of time to consider their options and finally decided to go with glass.

They believe that glass had depth in its thinnest and that is why it was the perfect solution as one of the key components in the phone. This phone has 2.5D glass and this makes a water-like appearance for the phone.

The back glass consists of color patterns and if you look closely, the glass looks diamond cut due to the way it is capturing and reflecting light. The metal and glass design is at the core of this phone’s beauty. The sides of the phone were created using an elaborate cutting process.

It somehow creates lines that resemble a metal bowl overflowing with water. The phone was built in a way that it would give the user the ease in grip and at the same time the user is also able to access the side keys of the phone.
