Samsung is really working hard right from the start of the present year to provide the latest Android OS to its customers. We can rightly say that it’s Lollipop time for the Samsung users. The Korean smartphone giant has already pushed Lollipop updates to many devices.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Exynos variant is one of those smartphones that have already started receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Galaxy S4 (GT-i9500) Exynos variant owners in India and some other regions have already received the Lollipop update.
However, owners of Galalxy S4 Snapdragon variant (GT-i9505) have to wait to get the latest Android OS. But it looks like the wait is almost over for the German users of Snapdragon variant have started getting the Lollipop update. However, they are not getting OTA updates.
Actually a Galaxy S4 (GT-i9505) owner had to send his smartphone to the Samsung customer care office for repair of its display issue. But when he got his device back, he got quite a surprise (a happy one indeed) to see that his device was being updated with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS.
Although, there is no over-the-air update of Android 5.0 Lollipop yet available for German users, but Samsung customer support in Germany already has the Lollipop update file. And they are installing the latest OS on the devices that are coming for repair purposes.
So it means that German users will surely get Lollipop OTA update soon. And we are hoping that Samsung will make the update available for Galaxy S4 (GT-i9505) users living in other regions.
