Samsung’s last year was rough but it seems that this year is going to be great for the Korean manufacturer. This is because the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are both rocking the smartphone market across the globe; especially the Galaxy S6 Edge is surpassing even Samsung’s expectations. This is due to the unique design of the smartphone.
Analysts had predicted that Samsung would be able to sell as many as a combined 50 million units of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge by the end of the year. However it seems that Samsung has even bigger expectations of its sales.
According to a Samsung executive the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are gaining a lot of positive responses and that everyone at Samsung is optimistic about the sales of these smartphones. He even stated that this Galaxy series could go on to the 70 million plus mark.
It is still pretty early to state whether this prediction by Samsung for its Galaxy S6 series be true or not one thing is certain and it is that the results are looking very positive. T-Mobile just recently revealed that Galaxy S6 sales have nearly doubled to what the Galaxy S5’s sales were in the same time period.
Pre-orders in South Korea have been very high too. Even though it has its drawbacks such as an irremovable battery and no microSD card slot, the smartphones are still making an impact on the world market.
