Now that is what I call a smart battery for a smartphone. Samsung will put in a battery with 4000 mah capacity into the rumoured galaxy A9 phone. it was also revealed that the phone will have a 6 inch 1080p super AMOLED display indicating that the phone will be supersized even dwarfing the mighty note 5.

The mid-range phone will carry a price tag of approximately $450 and will have the same glass and metal design that Samsung is now accustomed to. official listing in china revealed more details about the phone.

It will be available in the first month of next year and will be the continuation of the A series phones that were shown earlier such as the second generation A3, A5 and A7. But what is troubling me is the 6-inch screen size. Can it ever fit into a pocket and will it have the portability that we expect from a smartphone? it’s more like a small tablet than a large phone. But then again, smartphone bezels have shrunken to such size that they are practically invisible in today’s phones and the galaxy A9, according to me, will be a bit smaller than the galaxy mega that has a similar size display.

As far as the specifications go, the phone will come with a snapdragon 620 soc and a 13 MP camera on the back as well as an 8 MP camera on the front. 3 GB of ram and 32 GB of base storage is available. it runs on the android 5.1.1 software. It is also Samsung pay enabled.

Are you excited for the 6-inch galaxy A9 with mammoth battery or do you think that Samsung is up to its old ways of flooding the market with similar type of phones?
