Samsung unveiled a cool safety truck that works as awesome as it looks. It all started with a concept to safeguard the vehicles coming behind a huge truck. Naturally the oncoming traffic would not be visible to the rear driver and if he attempted to overtake the truck, the chances of a head on collision is too great leading to loss of property and precious life.
So Samsung came up with an idea to stick a huge display that is made of 4 smaller displays on the back of the truck so that the rear drivers can see the road and vehicles that are in front of a huge truck. Samsung is calling this truck as “safety truck”. To make this possible, Samsung is fitting the front of the truck with cameras that send the live feed to the screen at the back that faces the rear vehicles drivers. The display is immune to any kind of weather and can even display the picture in the night.
Samsung is currently testing the safety truck in Argentina and plans to bring these trucks to most of the countries worldwide. Be prepared to see such kinds of truck near you with 4 months.
“Samsung is always looking for opportunities to apply technology in innovative ways to improve people’s lives,” Sang Jik Lee, president of Samsung Electronics Argentina, said in a statement. “Leveraging our experience as the world leader in display technology, along with Leo Burnett, we came up with the idea of the Samsung Safety Truck, an invention that we believe will change the history of road safety.”
Samsung has announced its concept of safety truck last year but this is the first time that such as safety truck is being deployed on road.
