We use smartphone camera for snapping pretty much everything these days and that has in turn killed the point and shoot camera industry. But there is one area where these awesome cameras fail miserably. Low light conditions. There was no hope, well……………until now. Samsung has formally introduced us to its new technology called as the BRITECELL that will be used in the future flagships phones such as the galaxy s7. This BRITECELL camera takes brilliant photos in poor lighting conditions.

The BRITECELL tech will help you in darker conditions by producing brighter and sharper photos.it achieves this feat by eliminating the Bayer filter in the traditional method of taking a photo which is used in most smartphones. For your information, this Bayer filter converts the pixels into green colour and stops the light from hitting the camera capture lens, thus the blocked area will appear darker ruining the entire picture.

The BRITECELL technology has the simplest answer possible for this problem. It turns the green pixels into white in turn allowing the lens to take in more amount of light making the picture brighter.

You might also remember that the iPhone 6 has a protruding camera module. The thickness of the camera could not be reducing owing to the tradition camera manufacturing techniques. Not with this BRITECELL technology. The camera modules can now be up to 17% skinnier all the while taking in more light and producing better picture. Samsung also unveiled smarter software beside the smarter hardware. The “smart WDR” is similar to HDR and will assist in taking colour bright and stable photos in non-ideal conditions.

Looks like Your future photos just became lovelier.
