Samsung’s flip phone to be launched on August 3rd

We’ve heard many rumors about the newest Samsung flip phone so far. The handset firstly got its model number as SM-W2018, but then got a brand-new model number, SM-G9298. The model number, as the company says, will be official for the device.

Also, during the past few days, we’ve seen multiple leaks for the upcoming flip phone. Between then, there were many leaked images of the device itself. Besides that, we got live images of the device leaked online earlier today.

The company have still not set the release date for the device for now. But, a new leak has come out from China, which suggests that the device will be announced on August 3rd this year.

Also, the leak features a poster with the announcement of the device. You can see the poster at the top of this post. The poster comes from the Twitter user @mmddj_china, who so far has a good track record in such matters.

As a small reminder, the Samsung’s flip phone is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC. Alongside that, a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage will be available on the device. The cameras should feature a 12-megapixel on the rear-facing camera, and 5-megapixel on the front-facing camera. Features like Samsung Pay and wireless charging might also come in the package, and all of these specs will be powered up with the 2300 mAh battery.

If the poster turns out to be true, then we will hear more about the Samsung’s flip phone on August 3rd.
