The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have been praised all around the world by many technology analysts and journalists. The two smartphones have also given a boost to Samsung smartphone sales and are at an all-time high.

According to rumors Samsung is still facing a decline in its sales. The latest rumor states that the South Korean giant will be cutting its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge production by 16 percent which is a sign that Samsung is facing sales problems.

Now the rumor could be wrong about why Samsung is cutting back on its production. The company could be cutting back on its production keeping in view the decline of the Won and less than expected sales for the company in 2014. So Samsung could slow down its production so not to manufacture more devices than it sells.

The company’s goal this year was that it would use its semiconductor business along with the sale of its SUHD TVs, its Android smartphones such as the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and Galaxy Note 4, the Tizen powered Z1 and its new tablets. So it seems pretty normal that Samsung wants to cut down on production so as to sell more phones rather than make more phones than it sells.

Apart from this Samsung is now also developing its Galaxy S6 Active and the device will be ready for release within a few weeks. This new phone has already grasped everyone’s attention and it seems that the 16 percent reduction could be made up for with S6 Active production.

However sources may be true about HTC if not Samsung. Sources are also claiming that HTC has cut down on its production of the One M9 by 30 percent and the company’s shares have declined by 4.85 percent. Moreover this smartphone by the Taiwanese manufacturer hasn’t received any good ratings and it seems that the company may face many problems this year.
