From today Sony’s Play Station Now which is a streaming service is now available on more than just Sony hardware as the company announced that it is now also available on select Samsung smart TVs in both the US and Canada.
This basically means that gamers won’t need a console at all to play certain Play Station games. Samsung is now the first non-Sony devices that work with the service.
At the moment PlayStation Now gives gamers the ability to stream more than 100 PS3 games. Now on Samsung TVs the service will support standard features like trophies, online multiplayer and cloud based game saves.
The service was initially launched on the PS4 but then in May hit the PS3 as well. Now apart from game consoles it is also available on devices like the Vita, PlayStation TV and select Sony TVs and Blu-ray players.
