Jay-z, the rapper cum entrepreneur was recently spotted leaving a key Samsung office speculating the rumours that there might be something cooking up between them. jay-z owns the tidal music streaming service which he acquired a while back to compete with Spotify and gain foothold in the music industry as a premium music subscription service.
But a few missteps have cost jay-z a great deal of fortune. The firing of tidal ceo wasn’t a good gesture in the eyes of public either. Many celebrities endorsed tidal but the music subscription refused to take off. Now it looks like jay-z is ready to hand over the reins to someone who can bring some grace to his tidal.

As far as Samsung is concerned, it has recently shut down it music streaming service called as milk music. Although the service officially close doors in November, Samsung is already searching for its replacement. We aren’t clear about the on-going talks between the two parties. There might be a partnership prospectus or Samsung could entirely take over tidal and relaunch it as galaxy music.
Samsung is keen on making itself present in the music streaming industry. It arch rival, apple has its own streaming service called as apple music. Tim cook has recently revealed that apple music has 6.5 million paid subscriptions. Spotify is the world’s most popular service. Samsung has to do something radically different in making tidal a hit in the areas where it failed in its previous attempts.
Stay tuned for more news about Samsung.
