Samsung was the first smartphone manufacturer to go big on screen size when phones were dominated by 3.5 inches displays. It kept the entire world wondering when it introduced the original Note with 5.2-inch screen size. That may be the norm today for an average smartphone but back then, it was a big deal. Now the Galaxy smartphone maker is set to be the first manufacturer to introduce a phone with a whopping 7.0-inch screen size. This phone will be called as J Max.
Samsung has already introduced many phones in the J-Series and this might just be another one. Xiaomi also introduced the Mi Max with the 6.4-inch screen size but it’s no comparison to the 7.0-inch display.
Sure we had tablets with a 7.0-inch screen with calling capabilities but this is entirely in a different league. The gigantic phone will offer dual sim capabilities, mammoth battery life thanks to the real estate inside the body, LTE, and dual sim.
The phones are speculated to come with 1080p resolution display, Snapdragon 625 or the 410 chipsets. 2 GB of RAM and 16GB of memory apart from the expansion slot. Obviously from the photograph, we can see that the entire phone will have an uni-body casing giving it a premium feel.
At this point of time, the details are scarce but expect the phone to cost around $350.a little higher but it also acts as a tablet. Two in one device. No details on the release date either but expect it to launch within 4 months.
I guess we would have to resize our pockets if we are to fit this phone in the back pocket.
