Samsung today announced Samsung Galaxy Round, a smartphone with curved OLED screen. This is the first mobile device equipped with a curved display.
Samsung Galaxy Round features similar specification as the Galaxy Note 3 with difference in display. Measuring just a 7.9 mm in thickness Galaxy Round features a 5.7 inch 1080p OLED screen, 13 MP camera, 3GB on-board memory, 2,800 mAh battery and quad-core Exynos processor clocked at 2.3 GHz.
The device weighed just 154 gram and will come with Android Jelly Bean 4.3 pre-loaded.
Samsung says the Galaxy Round will take some advantages of its curved display, but it won’t be a game changer. Check below video to get a glimpse of Galaxy Round in action.
For the moment the device will only be available in South Korea through SK Telecom and it will cost $1000. There is no official words if the device will come to any other market.
