Samsung is planning on giving its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge flagship a major camera update. According to sources an Android 5.1.1 update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge is coming and is said to include new photo tricks such as RAW support.

The RAW support basically was backed into Google’s own camera API that had released with the Android L; however it was not included in the phone’s final software.

Moreover you will also be surprised to learn that Samsung had included RAW camera support to the Galaxy S6 at the Mobile World Congress 2015.

However the South Korean company did not go along with it. Now Samsung thinks it is time to bring it back through the Android 5.1.1 along with more camera features.

The Galaxy S6 family is renowned for having one of the best mobile cameras today and it seems that Samsung has no plans on stopping from further improving the camera features.

Well nothing can be said about the timing of the release for the update but it would be pretty soon.
