Latest data from online advertising network Chitika suggests that Samsung is the most popular Android Tablets brand when it comes to web surfing in America and Canada. Amazon Kindle Fire is at second number followed by other vendors.
Samsung at 8.7 % gained a lot of market share compared to last year when it had only 4.7% market share. In comparison Amazon Kindle FIre lost a minor part of it dominance from 7.4% to 6.1%. Google Nexus 7 has 2.2 % of market share.
These data are released by Chitika and only based on web surfing statistics. This study does not shows whole picture as tablets are used for many other activities like video playback from services like Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, etc, gaming and reading.
