Apple held its September iPhone launch event a few hours back where it launches the new iphones, iPad pro and the new apple tv. The iPhone in particular seems to be more powerful that ever but the future seems somewhat blurry for the apple.
Reason?
The overall smartphone industry is slowing down and is not as exciting as it used to be. All the new phones that are being released are just flat slab with big boring screens. The iPhone, particularly seems void of any excitement irrespective of their 3d touch screen. It is a known fact that apple eats up almost all of the high end smartphone profit leaving other in dust. But that trend is now in serious doubt as the high end phone market is rapidly slowing with people opting for low or mid-tiered phones that offer similar performance for almost half the price tag.

But Samsung seems to be one player who isn’t afraid to play with the fire to bring some kind of excitement to the smartphone market. The iPhone will gobble up the profits but they still remain boring glass slab. Samsung on the other hand had been releasing beautiful phones that bring excitement to the table. The galaxy note s6 edge+ and the galaxy a8 for example. The curved screen produced much excitement since the launch of the original iPhone and the Sony Ericson Walkman series phones that were awesome.
Overall, the launch of the iPhone might not effect Samsung which has seen declined sales for the past seven quarters and the level of devices that are being produced by Samsung in mist of trouble is worth appreciating.
