Samsung just announced a new Gear VR compatible with Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. This is huge as virtual reality is the next biggest innovation in the technology space.
Samsung is investing huge on the Virtual Reality market right now. Even Samsung’s biggest competitor Apple is trying to copy Samsung’s VR success by working with Oculus, the VR makers.
The new VR is 15% lighter than before for easier long-term wearing, and promises a a more comfy design. The straps are newly designed, and added ventilation could help with longer-term use.
The new VR can also be charged through USB while wearing, this is a good step forward.
