It seems Samsung is not stopping for anything! With no clue what caused the Note 7 to explode, they are focusing on future phones, especially on the Galaxy S8. The vice chairman and board member at Samsung told the Wall Street Journal that the next year’s Galaxy S8 will have improved hardware, packaged in slicker case. Also, it will have better artificial intelligence. Just let’s hope we won’t be needing a fire extinguisher next to the bed.
If you remember, earlier this year, Samsung acquired the creators of Siri. It’s more than logical to see improvements on the voice assistant. When you take close look on the battlefront, both Apple and Google market their assistants as a reason to buy their phones. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Samsung tried the same.
But, the important question remains. Will this be enough to make us forget the Note7 nightmare?
Samsung not only recalled the Note7, but also send the customers a fireproof box to return them in. Not something you want to see from a company like that. The FAA even banned the devices on flights. It is a federal crime to bring one on a plane. Samsung has to do something really impressive in 2017 to get its image back on track.
