China mobile, the leading carrier in the world’s most populous country has accidentally revealed the launch period of the Samsung’s next super phone, the galaxy S7. The eagerly anticipated phone’s launch period was revealed when the china mobile representative presented the roadmap for its future phones and services. Contrary to the reports, the galaxy S7 will launch in its usual unveiling period of March-April.
What was curious is the price of the handset and in line with the previous reports, the price of the handset will be about $465(CYN 3000). That’s almost $200 less than the launch price of the galaxy S6. Earlier leaks indicated that Samsung is considering to lower the price of the galaxy S7 in an attempt to get the handset into the hands of as many users as possible.
Previously, it was believed that the galaxy S7 will be shown at the consumer electronics show(CES) that will be held on Jan 6 next year. Thus leading us to believe that the phone will show itself 2 months before its usual launch period.
Now we can more or less confirm that the phone will be unwrapped during the mobile world congress (MWC 2016) that will be held in Barcelona in the month of February. Shortly after unveiling, the phone will find a place on the retail shelf mid-march.
The galaxy S7 is speculated to come with the snapdragon 820 soc and a brilliant QHD display. A top of the line camera and 4 GB of RAM are a usual thing. A new addition might be the retinal scanner that will allow the user to unlock the phone with their eye. This method is more secure than the fingerprint sensor. Samsung will also incorporate 3d touch like technology that is most popular on the iPhone 6s.
