The South Korean technology giant has finally introduced the 850 EVO M.2 and 850 EVO mSATA SSD in around 53 countries.

These are basically a storage solution and are new form factors of the 850 EVO SSD that was announced last year and adopts Samsung’s 3D V-NAND technology that ensures improved performance.

Samsung has targeted these storage solutions at ultrathin PCs, the M.2 and mSATA SSDs are one tenth the weight of a traditional 2.5 inch SSD and feature 3 bit 3D V-NAND technology that overcomes the density limitations of conventional planar NAND architecture.

The Samsung 850 EVO mSATA comes in capacities that start from 120 GB to 1 TB with a read and write speeds of up to 540 MB/s and 520 MB/s.

The other model of the storage solution ranges from 120 GB to 500 GB and has the same read and write speed as the 850 mSATA.

Apart from this these storage solutions also feature AES 256-bit hardware based encryption and TurboWrite technology which boosts the write speeds to 88K IOPS and random read speeds to 97K IOPS.
