With the successful launch of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6, and the Galaxy S6 edge, the Korean smartphone manufacturer is still not done surprising the consumers worldwide. Samsung is preparing to launch a tablet series to take hold of the tablet market in 2015.
As we had been reported earlier that Samsung has its new mid-ranged Galaxy Tab A lineup in the manufacturing phase, and might release it anytime in the near future. Earlier this morning, we were reported that Samsung has showcased their Galaxy Tab A duo at Russia in a press event.
The new Galaxy Tab A is reported to be launched in two different versions, an 8-inch display version, and a 9.7-inch display version. These mid-ranged tablets are designed to use for reading and official purposes. The displays on these tablets are equipped with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, which result in a very poor pixel density, particularly, on the 9.7-inch version.
The aspect ratio on both of the tablets is 4:3 for reading and official purposes. The devices are powered by a Cortex-A53 1.2GHz processor. Samsung will be using Snapdragon chipsets on these devices, probably. Both of the devices will be offering 4G connectivity.
The Galaxy Tab A will sport a 5-Megapixel rear camera, and a 2-Megapixel front camera. The devices come with 16GB of internal storage capacity, which can be extended by a MicroSD card. The Galaxy Tab A also comprises of 1.5GB of Ram.
The 8-inch version is powered by a 4,200mAh battery, which might last for about 11 hours. Both of the tablets are reported to be running on the latest version of Android Lollipop, along with the latest version of TouchWiz UI.
Both of the tablets are expected to be available in market for sale, worldwide, in probably 2 months, while, it will be launched in Russia in the upcoming month. The ordinary 8-inch version of the Galaxy Tab A will be priced around 18,000 rubles, while the Wi-Fi and LTE variant will be priced around 22,000 rubles.
The ordinary 9.7-inch version is expected to be priced around 22,000 rubles, while the LTE and Wi-Fi variants, will be priced around 26,000 rubles.
