The Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were released last year and since then they have had a few months to settle in the market. Now many of the analysts at the investment firm Morgan Stanley predict that Apple will sell 54 million iPhones in the first quarter.

These analysts do not consider the Samsung Galaxy S6 as a major threat to iPhone sales since the Galaxy S6 arrives too late. Samsung is all set to release its new flagship smartphone the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge in 20 countries first on April 10th.

That is why it will take Samsung some more months to launch both the devices in most markets around the world and once that happens will these new Samsung smartphones pose a potential threat to iPhone sales.

So most of the Morgan Stanley analysts think and believe that the situation will change after the first quarter. They think that the Galaxy S6 will be the main competitor of the iPhone sales in the second quarter.

This is due to all the positive and favorable reviews that the Galaxy S6 received at the Mobile World Congress 2015. Apart from this many independent media outlets have also praised the Korean company for releasing such beautifully designed handsets. Now let’s wait and watch what happens to iPhone sales once the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are released all around the globe.
