One thing Samsung did not reveal at MWC was that there is another Galaxy S6 in making. Numerous rumors suggest that Samsung is going to release the Galaxy S6 Active, the rugged variant of the Galaxy S6.
From last couple of days we are hearing many new leaks and rumors of the new phone and today SamMobile posted the complete specs of Galaxy S6 Active.
The specs are largely the same as the standard Galaxy S6:
- Exynos 7420 processor
- QHD Display
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB ROM
- 16MP rear camera
- 5MP front-facing camera
The only big surprise is the battery. While Galaxy S6 has a 2,550 mAh battery, the Galaxy S6 Active will have a bigger 3,500mAh battery. The size of the phone also got a big bump to 73.6 x 146.9 x 8.8mm, mostly because of the rubberized protection around the phone.
Samsung will release the Galaxy S6 Active with model number SM-G890A first for AT&T. Although we are not clear whether this will be a AT&T exclusive or Samsung will release this on other carriers.
