Samsung has clearly failed to achieve its goals when it comes to the sales of its flagship devices.

Even the company’s operating profits fell by four percent to 6.9 trillion won and the mobile division saw a huge fall from 4.42 trillion won to 2.76 trillion won from the same quarter last year.

Now as Apple is all set to release its new iPhones sales look even weaker. In order to face the expected sales drop the South Korean giant is thinking of adjusting the prices of both the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge.

Moreover Samsung is all set to release two new devices on August 13th so it’s thinking of reducing the prices of the current devices.

Now according to many of the analysts the company is facing such a slump in sales because it failed to anticipate the Galaxy S6 Edge’s popularity and so wasn’t able to keep up when there was a huge demand for the device.

Moving on to other products of the company’s, the TV and appliances division is struggling as well. The division experienced a 210 billion won drop in its profit from last year.

However the company’s memory chip business and processor division has been doing really well. Its profits have gone up by 1.54 trillion won from last year.
