Apparently, Samsung is refreshing the older models with new features. Recently they released the successor to the Galaxy Grand Prime, calling it the Galaxy Grand Prime+. However, in Russia this device is selling as Galaxy J2 Prime and is priced at RUB 9990 or $160 US.
This device holds a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 960 x 540 according to a Russian ecommerce site. Behind the display is a MediaTek MT6737T chipset with a QuadCore processor, paired with 1.5Gb of RAM. For storage, it has 8Gb internal with the capability to expand to 256Gb using a MiroSD card. It is expected that there will also be a 2Gb RAM model with 16GB or 32Gb internal memory as well. For connectivity it has LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi and more.
All this hardware runs on Android 6.0 – Marshmallow with the Samsung’s ThouchWiz UI. On the back it has a 8MP camera and in the front 5MP. Both come with a dedicated LED flash unit.
To keep it working, it has a 2600mAh battery which will hold a solid day for a medium use.
You can pick up this phone in three different colors: black, gold and pink.
