Samsung Electronics is all set to launch its large screen smartphone Galaxy Note 5 at the end of July. It is being expected that the images of the Galaxy Note 5 will be revealed in early September.
However Samsung has now stated that the prototype will be release in mid-June. Apart from this the company has confirmed the final specification of its latest prototype and even showcased it to its clients including global telecom companies to take pre-orders before the launch at the end of July.
Before this it has been a company tradition to unveil the Galaxy Note a day before the opening if IFA in Berlin every September starting from 2011.
The upcoming Galaxy Note 5 is widely expected to be unveiled on September 4 at the IFA. The release plan was pushed forward by over a month due to earlier than expected development of Galaxy Note 5 as a strategy to fight back the iPhone hype.
Released last October, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus surpassed 50 million unit sales per quarter and the iPhone even started to take over big screen market which was previously dominated by Samsung’s Galaxy Note and this is a real threat to Samsung Electronics.
Apart from this Samsung will also be launching its mobile money settlement service Samsung Pay which all set to be released in July and the market has expected it to support Samsung Pay with Galaxy Note 5.
The Samsung Note 5 will be an upgraded version of the Galaxy Note 4 and will run on Samsung’s own Exynos chip instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon.
Apart from this speculations are that the Galaxy Note 5 will come out with a 5.89 inch big screen and the Galaxy Note Edge with a 5.78 inch screen along with a 4100mAh battery under its hood and an S-pen.
