Some time ago, Android Authority published new renders from the upcoming 2017 version of the Galaxy A5. Samsung hasn’t officially announced the phone yet, but with each passing day , more and more pictures pop up.
First renders were leaked from a person named Neil Potgieter, and in a short video (which was short after brought down) said that he is doing a “review” of the new Galaxy A5. However, this is more likely to be a pre-production prototype phone because the device is not even announced, let alone released for reviews. On the fore mentioned video, it was showing the phone running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but it’s more than possible that the official release would have 7.0 Nougat.
The video even confirms to some level previous speculations about the phone’s hardware. It will indeed have 3GB RAM memory, paired with an Octa-Core processor. The phone that was used in the video had 32GB of storage, but it is possible that Samsung will release models with even more storage.
Design wise, the device will hold the Galaxy S7 lines, complete with the rounded corners.
