The most awaited device of 2015, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be released very soon. The new Samsung Galaxy S6 will be equipped with the latest version of Android OS, v5.0, Lollipop, in combination with the latest TouchWiz 4. The new Galaxy S6, comes with only two of Samsung’s signature apps pre-installed in the device. However, we have heard recently that Samsung has brought about some major changes in its TouchWiz UI.

The new Galaxy S6 will come pre-installed with a theme centre, to customize the look and feel of the User Interface. This feature was introduced for the first time in the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3, and was not included in any of Samsung’s flagship line-up before the Galaxy S6. Our sources have updated us further, on how the theme centre will work, or, how it will affect the look and feel of the User Interface.

According to our sources, users will be able to customize the voice tones, icons, background image, colour bar, and the background colour in the menus. This hints that status bar, which was transparent on the previous Android OS, KitKat, has been changed to a coloured one. The colour of the status bar depends on the theme that is being used. However, we expect that changing this setting may affect the colour of status bar on different apps, as in Android KitKat. Samsung has taken up this feature from the HTC Themes app for its new Galaxy S6.

Changing the theme in the theme centre will also modify system sounds, and custom fonts, to personalize the user experience. There will be many downloadable themes in the Theme centre by Samsung, but it is still unclear if Samsung will allow users to make custom themes for their device, by using custom wallpapers, colours, and sounds from their phone. The theme centre is also expected to allow users and developers to upload third-party themes for the Galaxy S6, but it is not confirmed, yet. This is an additional feature sported by the new Galaxy S6, to allow the users to customize the look of their device.
