For the past few months, the South Korean giant Samsung has been struggling with multiple problems. From reduced sales, to lukewarm responses to the new products, to their controversial heir, Samsung has been in a state of fix. In this phase, Samsung has again decided to make news by launching it’s 6th version of the S range of smartphones - Galaxy S6.
This phone will be available in two versions just like Galaxy S4. The first model will be made with metal, different from their ‘all plastic’ Galaxy phones. It is not yet decided whether it will have unibody metal design like the iPhone or just simple metal accents. The second model of the series will have a curved screen like the Galaxy Edge launched last year.
We are still in the dark as to when this new series will be launched. It is usual for Samsung to announce the flagship a month prior to the launch, however, we believe April will be the month. Coming to the features of this new phone, Samsung has decided to keep us in the dark. However, we believe that it will sport the Lollipop, the latest Android version available. How the phone will look with this version is something that we are all curious about!
However, considering the 37% fall in the sales in the last year, Samsung needs to buckle up and get their socks on with a better marketing strategy for this phone. It is evident with their history that Samsung does have a good market. We just hope, this time, this phone delivers what it promises!
