Samsung smart watch - the Galaxy Gear will be announced alongside Samsung Galaxy Note 3. This is an official news which is confirmed by Samsung executive.

There is no update whether Galaxy Gear will be a consumer device or just a concept product just like Samsung showed flexible display sometime back.

Speaking to the Korea Times, Lee Young-hee said: “We will be introducing a new wearable concept device called Galaxy Gear at our own event in Berlin on Sept. 4.”

Previously there was a rumor that Samsung will bring in flexible display in Galaxy Gear which is already squashed by Samsung.

Lee said: “The Gear won’t have a flexible display. The new device will enhance and enrich the current smart mobile experience in many ways. It will lead a new trend in smart mobile communications. We are confident that the Gear will add meaningful momentum to the mobile industry.”

Now that we have some clear picture of what Samsung is going to announce at the UNPACK event, we need to wait and watch how awesome these new products will be.
