Samsung had introduced its mobile payment service, Samsung Pay back in March this year alongside the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
The payment service is said to support both near field communication (NFC) and magnetic secure transmission (MST) which basically allows the merchants to accept payments using Samsung Pay without having to purchase any costly equipment.
The South Korean giant has already started a live trial of the service on a limited scale in South Korea and those who are looking forward to using it should keep in mind that the service will not work with rooted devices.
Till now the South Korean company has not revealed the date it will launch the service in the USA and South Korea but there is a likely chance that the service will be launched alongside the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus next month.
Once Samsung launches the service in these two markets it will then look to expand it to other places such as China and Europe.
Now users cannot use the service if they have rooted devices and if they try to then they will receive an error message which prompts them that the service has been locked due to unauthorized modification.
