Samsung will soon bring a smartphone for elderly and disabled. Samsung may name the phone as Samsung Galaxy Core Advance, taking names from two existing devices Galaxy Core and Galaxy Advance.
Samsung already selling age specific devices like tablets for Kids. Samsung could be looking to enter the fray with a smartphone of their own that will be targeted towards the elderly and the disabled.
According to report from Korean media, we can expect power and volume buttons to remain illuminated even in low-light settings, which could be great for those who might have trouble seeing. The handset is also said to sport an extra coating which would help prevent it from getting scratched up. The handset’s camera will also come with the ability to read text, so the user will be able to point it at text and have the software read it out loud to them, which could come in handy for the elderly whose eyesight might not be what it used to be.
Samsung Galaxy Core Advance specification will be similar to Galaxy Core, means nothing fancy. But as this is targeted to a smaller niche that makes sense.
