Samsung is about to introduce a new phone series that will be called as Galaxy C-series. rumours about these phones have been raining and it’s clear that they will be introduced in china on 26th may and will soon be available for purchase. There are two phone in the series, Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7.
These phones have recently made a trip to the certification centre to clear the TENAA rating in china and have reportedly cleared all the aspects. The Chinese authorities have given a green signal to launch the phones.
The handsets were suggested to have a retail price of $245 and $276 for the C5 and C7 respectively but the new leaks point out that the actual price tag might a little higher at $330 and $340.
As far as the specs are concerned, the C5 comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p display while the C7 will have a 5.7-inch screen size of the same resolution. Snapdragon 625 will power both the devices and will have 32/64 GB of internal memory along with expandable storage slot.
“The camera department is handled by a 16MP rear unit and an 8MP front shooter. A 2,600mAh battery is there to keep the lights on. Weighing in at 153g and measuring 145.9 × 72 × 6.7mm, the Galaxy C5 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Colour options include Gold.” Reports GSMarena.
One thing that surprised me the most is the amount of RAM that Samsung is putting into the device. the phones will have a mammoth 4 GB of RAM, the same amount S7 and Note 5 have, making it a multitasking monster.
Another significant change is the metal uni-body. Samsung has previously used metal and glass combination to make its phone feel premium but for the first time, it is constructing a phone that is entirely made of metal and will not gather fingerprints like the Galaxy S7.
