It has been recently reported that South Korean technology giant will now be investing $14.3 billion into a new manufacturing complex which will be the size of 400 soccer fields.

This new complex will provide essential components to the electronics industry. This new manufacturing complex is going to be bigger than the firm’s two largest semiconductor factories put together and will start production in 2017.

Well just after a report showed that Samsung’s quarterly smartphone earnings fell by 20 percent and the operating profit from its semiconductor division rose by 50 percent, analyst Mark Newman had predicted that from now on components would be the long term aim for Samsung.

It now seems that that is exactly what happened. Samsung’s semiconductor business is the world’s second largest after Intel.
